Service Description

Mayday Trust provides supported accommodation for people with complex needs via contracts with Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City Council.

This includes shared accommodation for people with an Oxfordshire connection, and an additional 10 units of supported accommodation for people with an Oxford connection.

The accommodation is based in residential properties within the community and provides people with the opportunity to begin planning to transition from homelessness to independence. The Mayday housing model is designed as short-term supported accommodation so that people can move on positively.

Every person choosing to live with Mayday will be offered the Personal Transition Service (PTS) as a strength-based approach to opening up new options and opportunities.

People living with Mayday can work in partnership with a coach to prepare them for living independently.

Key functions & activities offered

  • Access to good quality accommodation in the community in houses of 4,5,6 or 7 bedrooms
  • A personalised approach, without the use of labels and traditional assessments or eligibility criteria
  • Housing staff who focus on equipping people with the key skills necessary for moving on to independent living and working with people to lead the lives they want to lead
  • Staff available via phone, text, email and social media
