Service Description
A Residential Detoxification Service based in Oxford for Oxfordshire residents, with 10 beds. The aim of the Service is to assist Service Users in achieving abstinence from drug and/or alcohol dependence by providing assisted withdrawal (detoxification) and structured intensive psycho-social interventions
Key functions & activities offered
- Provide medically assisted withdrawal (detoxification) from illicit and licit drug and/or alcohol dependence in a residential setting
- Enable drug and/or alcohol users to address their psychological dependence in a residential setting alongside undertaking detoxification
- Enable individuals to become free from drug and/or alcohol dependence
- Offer a flexible length of stay (up to a maximum of 14 weeks) according to individual need
- Provide a flexible programme of psycho-social interventions to be delivered alongside detoxification
- Provide one to one intensive support to meet individual need
- Provide effective departure planning and management of transition back into the community in relation to on-going psycho-social support, housing, education, training and employment.
