Service Description

Simon House is a 25-bed purpose-built hostel in Oxford City Centre for single people with complex needs. It provides temporary accommodation and support to homeless and other vulnerable people in Oxfordshire. Our main aim is to work with individuals to help them address any problems or behaviour that may be preventing them from living independently in their own home. The hostel provides a supportive environment for people who have become homeless, enabling them to achieve and maintain independent living and improve their quality of life.

Simon House was previously funded by Oxfordshire County Council and earmarked for closure. Oxford City Council has allocated funding to keep it open into 2019, pending the development of a new facility at Rymers Lane in Cowley. The transitional service will be operated by A2Dominion, and will provide supported accommodation as part of the Oxford Adult Homeless Pathway.

A2Dominion is a residential property group with a social purpose, reinvesting 100% of profits into building and managing homes, including supportive housing for vulnerably-housed and rough sleepers.
